All I need to know is what #3 is asking, it seems to me like its asking the same as 1a and 2a…anyone who can explain this for me would be awesome! #1 the two US ones I am doing on Martin Luther King Jr. for Social and Governmental changes and the Internet and how Americans shop online a lot. # 2 I am doing on The nile river developing human society by providing water and food to a desert region and the Mayans system of power, governance, and authority….if any of that information helps.

I know it is a lot of information to read but I really just need to know what #3 is asking in dumbed down English. I am trying to get a degree in math and I was never really good at history.

Here is only an attempt to grasp the meaning of the task.

In #1 you pick 2 evens from US history not at random, but since they will be in the same slide-show, somehow related. You will essentially pick 3 things here – Event 1, Event 2 and Theme connecting Event 1 to event 2. Columbus voyage and Ford’s assembly lines will be an unlikely choice – no connection, no common theme.

But you could pick Wilson re-elected President, US entering WWI as events and US Participation in WWI as a theme.

Alternatively, you could pick Wilson re-elected President, US entering WWI as events and Suppression of Civil Liberties in US during that time.

Question #3 is asking you to see that chosen theme affects your presentation greatly, because with "US Participation in WWI" your presentation will be about international politics, drafts, fighting in Europe and victory, while with the "Suppression of Civil Liberties in US" your presentation would be about progressivism, socialism, Bill of Rights and arrests for criticizing government.

Two very different presentations about the same 2 events.

It cannot be denied; this World is completely Mad, and how we, the Human Beings act toward each other must have the rest of creation shaking their heads in disbelief.

The simple fact is, someone born in the United States of America, is not more special than someone born in Mexico.

Someone born in Israel, is not more special than someone born in Afghanistan or Iraq.

Someone who is white, is not more special than someone who is black.
Someone who is born into wealth and privilege, is not more special than someone born into poverty.

There are other explanations of course and many of them too, but what I have found is whenever any of the so called ‘alternative’ explanations to ‘events’ and even Human History are offered, they are shunned and blocked from being discussed, even when the so called ‘alternative’ explanations are as valid as any one of the other two (science & religion).

How can the other two get guaranteed airtime, oftentimes with no questions asked, and the alternative explanation is ridiculed, condemned or suppressed?

It seems there are people out there, who don’t want the public to have access to any ‘alternative’ information.

But ‘who’,…and ‘what’,….and more importantly maybe, ‘Why’?

Now I don’t know about you, but I have met a great many People in my life, and I don’t recall ever meeting ‘anyone’,..ever,….who actually WANTED a War.
In fact quite the opposite, all of them seemed to me to believe Wars were horrendous, and needed to be avoided.

So how come the World has been awash with so many Wars over the years if almost everyone does not wish to have a War?

Who is behind them?

Yes, the world has gone completely insane and I have no idea why. As another poster suggested that your thoughts are promotional of a "new world order" I think that I must refute that. Even if you are in favor of a single government, a single currency, and what would amount to global tyranny your post does not reflect that. You have stated only the logical outcome of what we humans have become.

This is not really history but recent history, 5 years back Hurricane Katrina makes landfall near New Orleans, Louisiana, as a Category 4 hurricane on this day in 2005.

Some facts about this worst natural disaster in Unites States:

* Despite being only the third most powerful storm of the 2005 hurricane season, Katrina was the worst natural disaster in the history of the United States.

* After briefly coming ashore in southern Florida on August 25 as a Category 1 hurricane, Katrina gained strength before slamming into the Gulf Coast on August 29.

* New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin ordered a mandatory evacuation of the city on August 28, when Katrina briefly achieved Category 5 status and the National Weather Service predicted "devastating" damage to the area. But an estimated 150,000 people, who either did not want to or did not have the resources to leave, ignored the order and stayed behind.

* The surges overwhelmed the levees that protected New Orleans, located at six feet below sea level, from Lake Pontchartrain and the Mississippi River. Soon, 80 percent of the city was flooded up to the rooftops of many homes and small buildings.

*Tens of thousands of people sought shelter in the New Orleans Convention Center and the Louisiana Superdome. The situation in both places quickly deteriorated, as food and water ran low and conditions became unsanitary. Frustration mounted as it took up to two days for a full-scale relief effort to begin. In the meantime, the stranded residents suffered from heat, hunger, and a lack of medical care. Reports of looting, rape, and even murder began to surface. As news networks broadcast scenes from the devastated city to the world, it became obvious that a vast majority of the victims were African-American and poor, leading to difficult questions among the public about the state of racial equality in the United States.

*The head of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Michael Brown, resigned amid the ensuing controversy.

trying and testing them beyond their capacities?No doubt many of our so-called Godmen and Gurus

The European colonization of Africa was one of the greatest and swiftest conquests in human history. In 1870 roughly 80 percent of Africa south of the Sahara Desert was governed by indigenous kings, chiefs, and other rulers. By 1910 nearly this entire huge expanse had become European colonies or land, like South Africa, controlled by white settlers. The bloodiest single episode in Africa’s colonization took place in the center of the continent in the large territory, known as the Congo.

The king’s colonial officials quickly set up a brutal but effective system for harvesting wild rubber. A detachment of soldiers would march into an African village and seize the women as hostages. To secure their wives’ release, the men would have to disperse into the rain forest to collect the sap of wild rubber vines. As the vines near a village were often drained dry, the men would sometimes have to walk for days to find areas where they could gather their monthly quota of rubber. As rubber prices soared, so did the quotas. Discipline was harsh; reluctant military conscripts, disobedient porters, and villagers who failed to gather enough rubber all fell victim to the notorious chicotte, a whip made of sun-dried hippopotamus hide with razor-sharp edges. A hundred lashes of the chicotte, a not infrequent punishment, could be fatal. Army officers and colonial officials earned bonuses based on the amount of rubber collected in areas under their control. These were an incentive for ruthless, devastating plunder.

Many women hostages were raped and a significant number starved to death. Male rubber gatherers often died from exhaustion. And under such circumstances people tended to stop having children, so the birthrate plummeted as a result. With most able-bodied adults prisoners or forced laborers for several weeks out of each month, villages had few people who could plant and harvest food, or go hunting or fishing, and famine soon spread. Furthermore, huge, uncounted numbers of Congolese fled the forced labor regime, but the only refuge to which they could escape was the depths of the rain forest, where there was little food and no shelter; travelers would discover their bones years later. Tens, possibly hundreds, of thousands of Africans also died in two decades’ worth of unsuccessful uprisings against the king’s regime.

In two ways the Congo’s rubber boom had lasting impact beyond the territory itself. First, the system of exploitation established there became a model for colonial rule in other parts of central Africa. Many of the surrounding colonies also had rain forests rich in wild rubber—Portuguese-controlled northern Angola, the Cameroons under the Germans, and the French Congo, part of French Equatorial Africa, across the Congo River. Seeing what profits Leopold was reaping from forced labor, officials in these colonies soon adopted exactly the same system—including women hostages, forced male labor, and the chicotte—with equally fatal consequences.

The events in King Leopold’s Congo also rippled beyond its borders in a more positive way: They gave birth to the twentieth century’s first great international human rights movement (see sidebar). The movement, in fact, eventually forced Leopold to relinquish his private ownership of the Congo to the Belgian state in 1908. By that point he had made a huge profit from the territory, conservatively estimated as the equivalent of more than $1.1 billion in early twenty-first century terms.

Some writers, almost entirely in Belgium, claim that such estimates are exaggerated. But other scholars use even higher numbers. Although neither figure is well-documented, Hannah Arendt’s seminal The Origins of Totalitarianism cites an estimated minimum population loss of 11.5 million, and a Congolese historian writing in 1998, Isidore Ndaywel è Nziem, estimates the loss at roughly 13 million. Humankind will never know even the approximate toll with any certainty, but beyond any doubt what happened in the Congo was one of the great catastrophes of modern times.

Sorry, i find your question very hard to follow. If there are five senses, how can they be divided by four? Are you saying that all the senses must be involved in worship or that there are other senses? Or do you mean that the word "worship" has four senses, in a similar sense to separate limbs of Yoga?

Not everyone is the same, and some people would excel in one style of worship more than others.
