Me and my family have recently relocated to the area of Chesapeake Virginia after living in Virginia beach for several years. By doing so I was not allowed to attend the school of Tallwood High to complete my education. I’m currently an 11th Grader and I’m being forced to attend the school of Indian River High in the Chesapeake district as opposed to going to Tallwood High in the Virginia Beach district.Currently I have been withdrawn from the school system of Tallwood High nor am i currently enrolled in Indian River due to the fact my mother/me do not like the type of enviroment that school offers and its academics. Such as how they separate math classes into 2 different subjects for example in Tallwood I was suppose to take Algebra 2/Trig but the school separates the courses give me more work to do. Not to mention how I was classified as an 11th Grader not naturally going into the next grade and I was afraid that they would not recognize that in their curriculum, I would have loved to stay in Tallwood with my peers and graduate. I’ve been in Virginia beach all my life and its all i ever knew. Then I had always planned to attend the global and world languages academy over there. Of course Indian River offers some AP classes but I wanted to get into the Academy at Tallwood. Thinking that going back to Tallwood wasnt a possibility me and my mother tried going to Oscor smith high in the chesapeake are but they told us they could not allow me to go there because i am not zoned for that area nor could they find any loop holes for me to do that. So during that day me and my mom went through the guidance office at Tallwood and they said no so we went straight to the principal of the school. She said I had to be a resident somewhere in Virginia Beach but she told me that she didnt really understand the ruling for everything regarding Virginia Beach. So as of now I am registered in no school at all. So the Tallwood principal had told us that we would have to talk to the superintendent of the Virginia Beach Public Schools in order to see if there was any way to attend because she heard something once before as a principal at another school about Open Enrollment. But in order to see if that would be possible I would need to talk to the superintendent. But the problem is that it’s September 3 and school starts on the 6th and I’m not registered at any school as of now and i need to schedule an appointment with the superintendent in order to speak with him about the situation. I do not even know the hours he works or when i could call in because im trying to get back in that school and get a legitimate answer quick before its to late. School starts on tuesday and its now saturday. I do not want to register at indian river due to its ratings and the things they dont offer. Even a school official had told us that u do not want your son at this school at all. I personally want to enjoy my time in HS and finish with my peers/friends. Is their a possibility that i can stay within Tallwood if i talk to the superintenedent even though im out of district. I dont live that far and my mom is willing to drive me back and forth. Is their any acception or waiver he can make about this. Are than anymore loopholes cause i have tried almost everything in the book. If i signed up for classes in the academy at T wood would i be able to stay or something of that nature. Is their any possibility that he can approve me to keep going to T wood. But the problem is making an appointment with him. Because i do not know if they work on the weekends and i know they have labor day off probably and school starts on tuesday. I have no idea what i should do. I just need to get an answer from him then if he says no then i would go straight to Indian River against my will. Do I even have a legitimate reason and for example what is a good reason. WHAT IM ASKING IS WHAT WAY SHOULD I GO ABOUT THIS BEFORE OR WHEN SCHOOL STARTS AND ANY ADDITIONAL INFO ON THE MATTER, PS: I’ve gone through almost the whole system and im tired of fighting people to get the answer i want or asking for; hese say is final so that why im so focused on this and also whats the chances he would approve this due to my listed reasons. We had moved in February and continued to go to school in T wood despite our district change but they found out i didnt live there anymore so they withdrew me so now im lost i just dont know how to go about getting everything settled like when to make the appointment. because it cant take forever i need to start school as soon as possible. Are my reasons even good enough to keep attending T wood and if not what then plz i need some insight on this matter and steps etc.
uhh i suggest you shorten your question or you won’t get answers
