OUT of District SUPERINTENDENT HELP before its too late?

Me and my family have recently relocated to the area of Chesapeake Virginia after living in Virginia beach for several years. By doing so I was not allowed to attend the school of Tallwood High to complete my education. I’m currently an 11th Grader and I’m being forced to attend the school of Indian River High in the Chesapeake district as opposed to going to Tallwood High in the Virginia Beach district.Currently I have been withdrawn from the school system of Tallwood High nor am i currently enrolled in Indian River due to the fact my mother/me do not like the type of enviroment that school offers and its academics. Such as how they separate math classes into 2 different subjects for example in Tallwood I was suppose to take Algebra 2/Trig but the school separates the courses give me more work to do. Not to mention how I was classified as an 11th Grader not naturally going into the next grade and I was afraid that they would not recognize that in their curriculum, I would have loved to stay in Tallwood with my peers and graduate. I’ve been in Virginia beach all my life and its all i ever knew. Then I had always planned to attend the global and world languages academy over there. Of course Indian River offers some AP classes but I wanted to get into the Academy at Tallwood. Thinking that going back to Tallwood wasnt a possibility me and my mother tried going to Oscor smith high in the chesapeake are but they told us they could not allow me to go there because i am not zoned for that area nor could they find any loop holes for me to do that. So during that day me and my mom went through the guidance office at Tallwood and they said no so we went straight to the principal of the school. She said I had to be a resident somewhere in Virginia Beach but she told me that she didnt really understand the ruling for everything regarding Virginia Beach. So as of now I am registered in no school at all. So the Tallwood principal had told us that we would have to talk to the superintendent of the Virginia Beach Public Schools in order to see if there was any way to attend because she heard something once before as a principal at another school about Open Enrollment. But in order to see if that would be possible I would need to talk to the superintendent. But the problem is that it’s September 3 and school starts on the 6th and I’m not registered at any school as of now and i need to schedule an appointment with the superintendent in order to speak with him about the situation. I do not even know the hours he works or when i could call in because im trying to get back in that school and get a legitimate answer quick before its to late. School starts on tuesday and its now saturday. I do not want to register at indian river due to its ratings and the things they dont offer. Even a school official had told us that u do not want your son at this school at all. I personally want to enjoy my time in HS and finish with my peers/friends. Is their a possibility that i can stay within Tallwood if i talk to the superintenedent even though im out of district. I dont live that far and my mom is willing to drive me back and forth. Is their any acception or waiver he can make about this. Are than anymore loopholes cause i have tried almost everything in the book. If i signed up for classes in the academy at T wood would i be able to stay or something of that nature. Is their any possibility that he can approve me to keep going to T wood. But the problem is making an appointment with him. Because i do not know if they work on the weekends and i know they have labor day off probably and school starts on tuesday. I have no idea what i should do. I just need to get an answer from him then if he says no then i would go straight to Indian River against my will. Do I even have a legitimate reason and for example what is a good reason. WHAT IM ASKING IS WHAT WAY SHOULD I GO ABOUT THIS BEFORE OR WHEN SCHOOL STARTS AND ANY ADDITIONAL INFO ON THE MATTER, PS: I’ve gone through almost the whole system and im tired of fighting people to get the answer i want or asking for; hese say is final so that why im so focused on this and also whats the chances he would approve this due to my listed reasons. We had moved in February and continued to go to school in T wood despite our district change but they found out i didnt live there anymore so they withdrew me so now im lost i just dont know how to go about getting everything settled like when to make the appointment. because it cant take forever i need to start school as soon as possible. Are my reasons even good enough to keep attending T wood and if not what then plz i need some insight on this matter and steps etc.

uhh i suggest you shorten your question or you won’t get answers

can i still download the fed bank and river mall multiplayer maps for pandora tomorrow for xbox?

I’m trying to play system link games on my xbox 360 and the game is backwards compatible, but it seems since there’s no original xbox game support on LIVE anymore that there is no way to download these two maps. These were the best maps ever and there’s gotta be a way to get them again.
*Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow.. just fyi

There is still a way to get downloadable content from old X-Box games but it can’t be done over X-box LIVE. You must call X-Box LIVE Customer Support or Microsoft Customer support, or you can go to Www.Xbox.com/support for help on doing so.

Is there a interactive maps that show the names of all the rivers, streams and road systems.?

A map that is zoom capable that can show detail. either map, satelite or hybrid, or any other format that can provide this information Most maps i have been able to find do not give the names of the smaller rivers and streams or the secondary and thirdendary roads. I have spent many hours searching for such a site with no sucess. Regretably all i can offer at this time to the person that can solve this question is ….. never ending gratitude and….. enough positive energy to supercharge your dreams and desires. If more is required ….. let me know. Nagrom

Why is this World completely mad?

Is the answer to this question to be found in something we have yet to discover?

Or is it simply something we have forgotten?

It cannot be denied; this World is completely Mad, and how we, the Human Beings act toward each other must have the rest of creation shaking their heads in disbelief.

The simple fact is, someone born in the United States of America, is not more special than someone born in Mexico.

Someone born in Israel, is not more special than someone born in Afghanistan or Iraq.

Someone who is white, is not more special than someone who is black.
Someone who is born into wealth and privilege, is not more special than someone born into poverty.

Yet everywhere we see this World torn apart by people believing any number of the above, and treating their fellow Human Beings in ways so barbaric and disgusting it beggars belief.

Why?

Now some might say it is the fault of religions.
Some can claim it is from the development of science, as the ‘new’ religion.

But can there be another explanation?

There are other explanations of course and many of them too, but what I have found is whenever any of the so called ‘alternative’ explanations to ‘events’ and even Human History are offered, they are shunned and blocked from being discussed, even when the so called ‘alternative’ explanations are as valid as any one of the other two (science & religion).

How can the other two get guaranteed airtime, oftentimes with no questions asked, and the alternative explanation is ridiculed, condemned or suppressed?

It seems there are people out there, who don’t want the public to have access to any ‘alternative’ information.

But ‘who’,…and ‘what’,….and more importantly maybe, ‘Why’?

Now I don’t know about you, but I have met a great many People in my life, and I don’t recall ever meeting ‘anyone’,..ever,….who actually WANTED a War.
In fact quite the opposite, all of them seemed to me to believe Wars were horrendous, and needed to be avoided.

So how come the World has been awash with so many Wars over the years if almost everyone does not wish to have a War?

Who is behind them?
Or what, or why?

Is what we are all taught, the truth?

And what about the economic system we use?
Please feel free to correct me if I’m wrong, but his system insists, every year, that we take more from the Earth even quicker, turn it into even more things, sell even more things, consume even more things, throw away even more things,…..for what?

To worship the real God of the modern era; economic growth.

It insists that 20% of the Human population consumes 80% of the resources, while leaving the other 80% to get by on the remaining 20%!

Absolutely crazy,…..of course it is.

What is behind this madness, this self destruction?

Or who,….and why?

Wisdom once said: "When we have cut down the last tree, and poisoned the last river, then we will know, that we cannot eat money."

So why is this World so completely mad?

All thoughts welcome.

Yes, the world has gone completely insane and I have no idea why. As another poster suggested that your thoughts are promotional of a "new world order" I think that I must refute that. Even if you are in favor of a single government, a single currency, and what would amount to global tyranny your post does not reflect that. You have stated only the logical outcome of what we humans have become.
Our (we humans, that is) moment of destruction is rapidly approaching and it will be of our own volition when it happens.
This has all been predicted over 2000 years ago; the predictions of the unrest and earth-changes are beginning to come to fruition so rapidly that even *I* may live to see the climax of it.

“Tell us, when will all this happen? What sign will signal your return and the end of the world?”

Jesus told them, “Don’t let anyone mislead you, for many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah.’ They will deceive many. And you will hear of wars and threats of wars, but don’t panic. Yes, these things must take place, but the end won’t follow immediately. Nation will go to war against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in many parts of the world. But all this is only the first of the birth pains, with more to come.

“Then you will be arrested, persecuted, and killed. You will be hated all over the world because you are my followers and many will turn away from me and betray and hate each other. Many false prophets will appear and will deceive many people. Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved and the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it; and then the end will come.

“The day is coming when you will see what Daniel the prophet spoke about—the sacrilegious object that causes desecration standing in the Holy Place.” (Reader, pay attention!)

Video Games: FUN! not Frustration!?

Video games should be Fun, ChallengingChallenging at times, and yes have realistic aspectespecially (especially FPS’s"). But some video game developers focus so much on realism (where it is not needed) that the game they created is frustrating to the point to where it takes all the fun out of the experience. 3 Examples…

Far Cry 2 – Your gun’s seem to break and/or jam every time you use them for more then 5 mins, You have to pick bullets out of your body before you die if you get hit, and you got this huge area to drive around in which makes it easy to get lost (especially if you are looking for malaria pills in a hurry). Does this seem FUN to you? or frustrating? is it WORTH the realism?

Operation Flashpoint: Red River – This game in my opinion is terrible. They try to make the map realistic to the point that everything looks boring and repetitive, you are usually killing enemies who are very far away from you, instead of close up, AND the health system totally sucks. If you get shot in the leg, you walk slower etc. Plus, if you get shot on a certian part of your body, you have to heal your wound before you bleed out. This can get very annoying if you get shot at multiple locations. Does this seem FUN or ANNOYING to you?

Finally, Brothers In Arms: Hells Highway – They try to make the world war II experiance so realistic that you spend most of the time hiding behind walls and strategiclly waiting for your enemy to rise up so you can shoot him. You also have an annoying squad based system that you have to command. Because the developers choose so much realism, they had to make a lot of sacrafices. for example – Because you can only get hit a couple times before you die, each of your enemies have this circle above there head that turns red just before they rise up above their hiding places, AND if there are too many enemies, you have to wait behind a wall for a long period of time. Plus, because their are so many limitations on what you can do, their is not much room for the developers to make a more nonlinear design.
to "That One Guy", games like Hell’s Highway is easy for me. So was Red River. I am not saying i can take that challenge, i’m saying it was BORING! and FRUSTRATING! Franchises like COD are FUN! yes its too easy on the lower levels, i never play it on the easiest level. My favorite games include – Call of Duty (every one of em), Halo (every one of them too), BioShock 1 & 2, the Half Life series, Darksiders, Castlevania Lords of Shadow, Dead Space series, Bad Company 2, Killzone 2 and 3…the list goes on and on. THOSE GAMES ARE FUN!

That all happens in real life. If you don’t believe, come here and I’ll use your gun for 5 minutes, and shoot you in the leg.

If you don’t want that sort of stuff, go to CBeebies or something.

How would the amt of sediment carried by the Mississippi River system compare w/ the amount 11,000 yrs ago?

I know the Ice age ended approximately 11,000 years ago…but I’m not sure if there’d be more sediment today, or back then.

Thanks.

More 11,000 years ago
Back then the Mississippi River was fed by melting glaciers which add a lot more sediment than what the river carries today

Is there a GPS for local small rivers?

I have about a million bucks in a Humminbird 385ci combo, plus Gold and Lake Maps SD software from Navionics. You guessed it, I assumed that a system I paid a million bucks for would do at least as much as my car GPS. I was wrong. I’m still navigating the PEE DEE river system using my car GPS because apparently these high dollar marine units don’t cover the small out of the way rivers and lakes.
Surely I’m not the only one who has noticed this problem, if indeed it is a problem.

Do I mount my car GPS in the boat and be glad I have it? Or has somebody taken the maps info they use in car GPS systems and adapted it to inland rivers and other small bodies of water?
Cliff, I called Navionics and I called Humminbird, and they both told me there was no software for any Humminbird (any series) that would cover all the out of the way places. I find that hard to believe, which is why I submitted this question.

I also went to the Garmin site, and apparently they use satellite augmented worldwide maps to solve this problem, and the software comes preloaded. This is the mapping system I assumed came preloaded in all marine GPS systems, but apparently is not.

Can you use your 500 series to navigate on shallow, out of the way, non-navigatible rivers and streams, which are not already covered by Government and Commercial paper charts? If so, which SD chip are you using?

as an owner of a new still low end 500 series hummingbird, i cant say for sure with a cheaper 300 series, but usually you can add maps to most gps units with either external software (cards or chips you insert into the unit) or directly through the unit itself.

read the owners manual, if you can do it there whould be a section that explains it.

Compare the importance of the Nile & Yangtze river systems to the countries they pass.?

The nile: the nile runs between a number of countries. Egypt has built a dam to protect its energy security for the future while the other countries are left with droughts. The river is very important.

Do "creation science flood geologists" claim that the flood waters of Noah brought more salinization or less?

It would seem that if most Flood waters came from the "firmament" as rain, the infusion of distilled water would lower salt levels but if the bulk came from within the "depths of the earth", mineral levels could be very high. And surely any flooding of the continents would dissolve enormous quantities of salt deposits there.

Yet, when I read "flood geology" evidences [I use that term as objectively as I respectfully can], they seem to associate any physical methods for monitoring flood-based water salt content changes, there seems to be presumption that the Noahic Flood brought a significant drop in salinity of the Gulf of Mexico, for example. (By the way, the cited "creation scientists" date the drop to about 11,500 years ago and call it "The Flood" but that date would correspond beautifully with the melting and retreat of the Wisconsin Glacier of the last great ice age, which surely would have sent an enormous cascade of melt water down through the Mississippi River system. So it looks like evidence for the Ice Ages is treated as evidence for a global flood.)
=======================================

Sorry for the confusion brought by some dropped words. I’m on an experimental connection.

I don’t really know. Here’s a thought to consider for your experiment: which had more volume of water? Was it the "firmament", or the "waters of the deep" (i.e. trapped in the earth). My experience in the oil & natural gas industry would tell me that if there were more waters of the deep, then the water would actually be very brackish and salinized because of what I have observed with the quality of produced water from the wells.

Which was not a reason that New England became the center of the American Industrial Revolution?

Im taking a 50 question test and i am not 100 percent sure on these answers. Can you check them for me. I would appreciate it. Thanks :)

Which was not a reason that New England became the center of the American Industrial Revolution?

large numbers of swift-flowing rivers that could produce power

coastal trading ports on or near the Atlantic Ocean

access to Pennsylvania’s abundant supply of coal <—

climate that supported a large agricultural base

What helped spur the growth of American industry in the beginning of the nineteenth century?

increased federal support for entrepreneurs

trade agreements with France and England

trade embargoes and the War of 1812 <—

interstate commerce agreements between New England states

How did developing the system of roads in the early nineteenth century affect the economy?

It brought in additional federal revenues through tolls.

It made trade more attractive to foreign nations, especially England. <—

It helped the country transition from a subsistence economy to a market economy.

It caused a downturn in the economy because of road construction expenses.

What was an effect of Robert Fulton’s development of steamboat travel?

More people were willing to vacation along the waterways.

The cost of transporting goods became more expensive for farmers.

Westward expansion became much easier.

Trade along the Mississippi River began moving in both directions. <—

. How did the growth and development of railroads affect the American economy?

Railroads created a shortage of the coal that was used in fueling New England mills.

Railroads eliminated jobs for mule drivers, causing a recession in some areas.

Railroads made the rapid movement of produce and goods into many markets possible. <—

Railroads increased transportation expenses and strained the economy.

How had the American electorate changed by the election of 1828?

Thanks to the suffragette movement, women in some states were eligible to vote.

With landholding requirements still in place, fewer men were eligible to vote.

With landholding requirements eliminated, most white men were eligible to vote.

Property requirements for voting continued to keep African American men from voting.

I dont know the last one at all.

How had the American electorate changed by the election of 1828?

Changes in voting qualifications and participation, the election of Andrew Jackson, and the formation of the Democratic Party—due largely to the organizational skills of Martin Van Buren—all contributed to making the election of 1828 and Jackson’s presidency a watershed in the evolution of the American political system. The campaign of 1828 was a crucial event in a period that saw the development of a two-party system akin to our modern system, presidential electioneering bearing a closer resemblance to modern political campaigning, and the strengthening of the power of the executive branch
