Scientific Verification of Vedic Knowledge in Hinduism – 2

A vast number of statements and materials presented in the ancient Vedic literatures can be shown to agree with modern scientific findings and they also reveal a highly developed scientific content in these literatures. The great cultural wealth of this knowledge is highly relevant in the modern world. Techniques used to show this agreement include:

Marine Archaeology of underwater sites (such as Dvaraka)
Satellite imagery of the Indus-Sarasvata River system
Carbon and Thermoluminiscence Dating of archaeological artifacts
Scientific Verification of Scriptural statements
Linguistic analysis of scripts found on archaeological artifacts
A Study of cultural continuity in all these categories.

    NO POINT IN THIS …
NO POINT IN THIS KIND OF DISCUSSION (REFERRING TO THE COMMENTS) – AS LONG AS DISCUSSANTS REFUSE TO SEE EVEN WHEN THEY CAN SEE. For, the facts mentioned in the Vedas, like for ex., Purusha sookta, are couched in allegorical language and style. The purpose was not to put great knowledge in cold storage (with artificially coined specialized lingo) with a few elitists callig themselves scientists, but presented it – in a palatable (easy to understand) manner TO ALL AND “SUNDRY”.

    The Vedas are a …
The Vedas are a collection of various hymns and ritual items rolled into one. They make little sense to the modern world. They are simply from a time and world so distant from our own that most people who read them don’t understand what they were for. They are unclear, some of them are strange little stories, others are ritual texts: what to say or sing. They are not much of a base for a faith, and the faith(s) they espose are quite alien to modern Hinduism.

In the Mahabarat it says that Sri Krsna instructed the chief Architect of the heavenly planets, called Viswakarma (or Viśvakarmā) to construct the fort/city of Dwaraka (or Dvārakā). As the surreal city only survived by Krsna’s mercy, once Krsna left his body the waters of the ocean closed over the city…but before He left His body He sent word with His charioteer Daruka to give the citizens of Dvārakā advanced warning of the city’s imminent if you’d like I can e-mail the book about it…☻

The speaker uses Veda, Vedanta and Bhagvatgita interchangeably. Vedanta means “at the end of veda” and Bhagvatgita is just a small part of epic Mahabharata and has nothing to do with Veda.
