I’m in the middle of a flood fight and it the river will peak in about 48 hours.
It’s 50/50 whether the area I live will be held dry. I have evacuated my pets already to my parents, who live on high ground. So it’s just me.
Personally, if I lose, I might be without water and energy for a period of time. I plan on trying to stay and protect my stuff.
I have a lot of bottled water stored, but am looking to see what portable water purification systems other people may have used.
Perhaps outdoor enthusiasts?
I’m trying to be ready in case I’m down for a longer period of time.
I have no help, but I know the military has tabs that they put into water..
you could probably get some online!!!
other than that brita??

I never been in that situation, but honestly if i was you i just leave for safety reason all the material items could be replaced.. i think your more important and you need to get out now..

just me
Boiling water is great if you don’t lose power. If power goes out there are everything from straws and bottles that purify and filter as you draw to tablets that kill many water born pathogen and microorganisms. That is if the sanitary water system is breached by river water only, if it’s sewage your out of luck.
