Researcher Brent Miller of the Horizon Project discussed past evidence for sudden catastrophic earth changes, and warned we could be nearing another such event, possibly occurring in 2012.
Calamities such as a pole shift are likely caused by passing space bodies altering Earth’s gravitational field, he explained.

Our solar system moves up and down a “galactic plane,” and as the Mayans predicted, Earth will reach the closest point to the center of the galaxy in 2012, said Miller. The center (or “dark rift”)
has a large gravitational field which has been affecting Earth since 1998, causing larger and more frequent earthquakes, he noted. Quakes will increase as we get closer to 2012, as well as
anomalous weather patterns caused by ocean temperature warming– culminating in a pole shift with huge tsunamis that will wipe out coastal lands, he cautioned.

Miller cited ancient historical data to back up his assertions. Water damage to the Sphinx as well as silt evidence from the Mississippi River indicate that global tidal waves wreaked havoc around
9,000 years ago, he outlined. Various prophecies such as from Nostradamus, Cayce, the Bible, and the Hopi Indians all share similar accounts of dramatic earth cataclysms. Nostradamus wrote of a
single day where everyone falls over, and Miller suggested this will be due to a gravitational flux/pole shift.

A major culprit is the region’s economically-important coffee growing industry. But recently there have been big changes in the way much of this coffee is grown, changes driven by the coffee industry itself. Global demand for certified and organically grown coffee is booming and producing a dividend for river systems in an area that currently produces half the worlds coffee.

PREVIOUSLY: Soma, having recovered from his fight with Rahab the giant zombie fish, set out to discover a way to fly in order to reach Celia’s whereabouts. Subterranean appeared to be an underground river system filled with a variety of sea life and aquatic monsters. Recalling his chat with Julius and Arikado back in the Cursed Clock Tower, Soma remembered a mention of Dario’s power coming from a river nearby. Could this be the river that they were speaking of?

SYNOPSIS: Although he attempted to reach the depths of the water-filled caverns, the way deeper was barred by a spiral gate that could only be opened from the other side, forcing Soma to turn around and search for another way deeper into the cave system. His exploration proved to be useful, however. After discovering a curious teeter-totter that rewarded him for hitting a boulder as high as possible, Soma continued on to discover that the caves connected to the Gardens of Madness far above. The water that kept those gardens fresh poured down into the caverns, creating this river. And at the bottom of the cavern was a vast waterfall. Behind the shimmering veil of mist was a hidden passageway holding the peerless Eversing Armor. Although there appeared to be a secret passage behind the waterfall, Soma had a task to accomplish and would visit that area later. Instead, he headed east in search of answers.

SOULS COLLECTED:
* Alura Une
* Ukoback
* Bone Ark

NEXT TIME: Leaving the waterways and subterranean caverns behind, Soma discovered a forgotten castle hidden deep within the manor’s foundation frozen in time. He used the time-keeping ability of Zephyr to gain access to the castle. There was a very familiar feeling to these silent halls as Soma treaded deeper into these forgotten chambers. It almost felt like a portion of Dracula’s Castle had been used as the foundation for this entire manor. The setting was medieval in much the same way as the Eclipse Castle had been before Soma resealed it a year ago. But what awaited Soma deep within this quiet tomb? Stay tuned!
