20th Annual Potomac River Watershed Cleanup

On April 5, 2008, Alexandria Sanitation Authority along with 15 citizens of the community participated in the 20th Annual Potomac River Watershed Cleanup at Four Mile Run in Alexandria. Thirty seven volunteers removed eighty-eight bags of trash from the watershed. The day started off gloomy but turned out to be a beautiful day and our team efforts prevented unsightly materials such as beer bottles, Styrofoam cups and food wrappers from entering into the Potomac River. Thanks to all the volunteers who helped in the cleanup. For information on the cleanup http://www.fergusonfoundation.org/trash_initiative/trash_cleanup.html
