Prospecting on Fly Creek in the Lewis River Watershed.

I use a great tool online sponsored by BLM and USFS called Geo Communicator, you can use it to look for open and closed mining claims both lode and placer along with withdrawn land, state land etc etc etc.. I find it to be a great means of Intel and a great research tool. http://www.geocommunicator.gov/GeoComm/index.shtm

In this video I am Prospecting on Fly Creek and Tributary to Canyon creek a tributary of the Lewis River, that drains into Lake Merwin in Clark county. I was up there the other day.

B L M is notorious for running behind on the updated claim. They are just covered up with them. But its the best thing since the washing machine and cold beer.

You can get the LR2000 Reports by using the identify tab on the upper left of the Geocommunicator, After you click on the Identify button you click on the area and some little boxes come up and you go from there.

And though the Geo Communicator does not update on a daily basis (working day) it does update at least twice a month the last update was on the 26th of June.

I still think it is an awesome tool I wish we had it to use ten yours ago.
